Leap-x1c aircraft engine adopts composite blades and turbine components
AVIC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd. and CFM International Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding in Beijing on December 21, planning to establish a joint venture production line for the final assembly and commissioning of leap-x1c aircraft engine in China with an outer diameter detector
Leap-x series aircraft engine is a new aircraft engine series launched by CFM International Co., Ltd., which is committed to replacing the current single channel large passenger aircraft power unit. On July 13, 2008, CFM International Co., Ltd. launched a new generation of power equipment on the day before the opening of the 46th Farnborough air show. It is widely used as a lightweight substitute for metal parts. Because the price of carbon fiber is higher than many affordable motives, it is used as the configuration of b737/a320 series aircraft. On November 4, 2008, leap-x engine made its first public appearance at the 7th China International Aerospace Expoleap-x1c, which plans to establish an assembly line in China, is one of the leap-x series engines used to assemble the domestic large passenger aircraft C919
compared with CFM56 series of mainstream engines currently produced by CFM, leap-x, an advanced next-generation aircraft engine, can reduce fuel consumption by 16%, carbon dioxide emissions by 16%, nitrogen oxide emissions by less than 60%, and it is quieter. CFM56 is currently installed in Airbus A320 series aircraft and Boeing 737NG (new generation 737) series aircraft
leap-x engine adopts carbon fiber composite fan blades developed by SNECMA company and ceramic matrix composite turbine components developed by General Electric Company. Leap-x engine will have 18 fan blades, which is half the number of cfmc and three quarters of cfmb
according to the development plan, the leap-x engine will have performance characteristics in 20 years: the first validation aircraft will be assembled in 12 years, and the airworthiness certificate will be obtained in 2016. At present, the core and fan of leap-x engine have completed the pneumatic performance test and started the whole machine test
